It’s confirmed that Summit Entertainment will move forward with sequels to the “Twilight” film based on the Stephanie Meyer’s vampire books,”New Moon”,”Eclipse”,and the latest entry “Breaking Dawn”. Even though the original has yet to hit the theaters,Summit wanted to go ahead and get the bid in for the sequels before another movie studio snatched them up.

It looks like it will draw big numbers though because it’s been heavily promoted and it has a huge loyal following from the book which is mostly female based audiance. They’ve already hired screenwriter,Melissa Rosenberg to come in and work on the scripts for ,”New Moon”,and “Eclipse”. “Breaking Dawn” is sitting in the wings waiting at the moment which is understandable considering we have yet to see the original, but for you die hard Twilight fans this should be something for you to look forward to.

The original “Twilight” film is in theaters this Friday,November 21,2008 . I will definately be seeing it. It looks like a really interesting film from what I’ve seen on the trailers.I posted one late last month. You can view it here
