In the 10th episode of season 3 “Heroes: The Eclipse Part 1″ Arthur Petrelli is after Claire because she’s the catalyst which to him is very important for his formula to work and Suresh who is working with Arthur needs her to so that he can cure himself of his fatal condition brought on by one of his heroes experiments gone bad..Arthur,however has had a vision that Claire will be killed and that they must find her quickly. Elle and Sylar continue their sadistic romance;she is still teaching him how to use his newly required electric powers which they both now share. While Sylar tries to be obedient now and follow the orders of Arthur, Elle doesn’t agree with his new behaviour and constantly tries through a series of events to get him to resort back to his badboy ways. She claims they can do whatever they want.

Arthur has made Hiro think that he’s 10 years old again so Ando takes him to Matt Parkman for help in getting into his mind and maybe curing him. Matt and speedster Daphne have an arguement because she is having issues with the nature of her intensions and she speeds off to her parent’s farm home. Nathan flys off with Peter to find the haitian guy that can disable heroes’ abilities and use him against Arthur. As the Eclipse draws near one by one the Heroes start to lose their powers. Nathan and Peter drop from the sky since Nathan can’t fly anymore. They both have a huge argument as they try to figure out what’s going on. They eventually run into the Haitian siince they dropped right into where he’s located.

However,Nathan is captured by the Hatian’s brother who has an army of sorts out there. Claire is being taught how to fight by Noah,but then all of a sudden Elle and Sylar show up to try and capture her. They notice their abilities no longer work,and a huge fight begins. In the tanglement Elle gets a hold of a gun and tries to shoot Noah. Claire not knowing her powers are not working because of the Eclipse jumps in front of the bullet and gets shot in the shoulder and of course it didn’t heal. Noah carries her off which was the vision Arthur saw earlier. Matt makes a very interesting discovery when he goes to find Daphne at her parent’s farm house. It turns out that he has also lost his powers, and that when Daphne loses her speedster powers she’s actually a cripple that has to use walking sticks just to be able to get around.Also earlier, Matt used Hiro to teleport them to her location. The eclipse somehow cures Suresh of his problem. Noah takes Claire to get patched up,and to try and figure out what’s going on. He realizing that for some reason the heroes have lost their powers takes off and finds Sylar and Elle. He holds up a gun and takes aim in preparation to kill them. Then “The to be continued” credits role.

My Take: I thought it was a very interesting look at what happens when the heroes lose their powers and the whole Daphne cripple thing was a very interesting twist to throw in. I’m also wondering if Suresh being cured is only temporary until the eclipse ends because I’m guessing that once the eclipse is over their powers will return. Well, anyways the episode was very interesting and had me guessing about things so in my book it was very good.
