Apparently this news came out way last year before I started this blog,but what the hell. I’m gonna post it anyways because I’m very excited about this film. The very beautiful “Smallville” star, Kristin Kreuk is cast in the new film coming out in February entitled, “Street Fighter : Legend of Chun-Li”. She will star as Chun-Li. The film is based on Capcom’s popular video game, “Street Fighter”,and will be focused on female fighter Chun-Li and her journey for justice.

Kristin currently stars on the CW’s hit show, “Smallville” as Lana Lang and has actually done a couple of fight scenes on the show because her character was attacked and took up self defense in a couple of the episodes a few seasons back. Unfortunately as of the time of this writing, they do not yet have a trailer for this film which is surprising seeing that the release date is only two months away. I have managed to find some promotional screenshots from the people over at comingsoon.net that they got from 20th Century Fox. The film seems very interesting to me especially since I’m an avid watcher of “Smallville”. I definately wanna see Kristin Kreuk kick some ass. From the screenshots I think it looks pretty good. I will post a trailer as soon as one becomes available. The movie is scheduled to hit the theaters on February 27,2009 .
