Merry Christmas everybody! I got some more news for you.
It’s official Disney has decided to pull it’s co-funding for the 3rd Narnia flick,”Narnia:The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” that had a 2010 release date. Even though the 2nd film “Prince Caspian : The Return to Narnia” made money in the neighborhood of about $200 million or so in pure profit,it was much less than the first installment ,”The Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion,the Witch and the Wardrobe”,and Disney has noticed to much decline in interest of the film to go through with the 3rd one and therefore decided to jump off the Narnia ship while it is still afloat.
That doesn’t mean it’s the end for Narnia though. Walden Media ,the company that has been producing these films for Disney is currently seeking funding from other sources. They currently have a strong relationship with 20th Century Fox via it’s Fox Walden Studios. My guess is that they’ll shop it around to other studios and eventually get the funding for it somehow since it does at least have a track record of making money under it’s belt.
Although,I don’t really care if another Narnia film ever gets made. I saw the first two,and have to admit that they weren’t the worst movies I’ve ever seen. They did however resemble each other a bit to much with the whole big fight scene at the end and all. I kinda thought I was watching the first one all over again. Well, anyways I won’t lose any sleep over this news,but if there are any hardcore “Narnia” fans out there this might be a little disheartening for you I guess.

I am sure this movie will still be made. With a profit of 200 mill. someone will get greedy and put this one out.
