Well, according to Zap2it. It looks like Tori Spelling will finally be making her way onto the set of CW’s New ‘90210′. She’s in final negotiations to reprise her role as Donna Martin from the original 90’s series. The word is that the producers want to get her into multiple episodes of the show. Originally, before the show made it’s debut, there was buzz that she would be joining in on the premier of the show, and that her character Donna would own one of the hippest shopping stores and that the new cast members would frequently go there. But her deal never went through.
The word out on that is that it was because of money, and that Shannen Doherty and Jenny Garth were getting paid more than her per episode. So, she got pissed and didn’t do it which is damn funny to me. Jason Priestley will also be returning to the show, but only to direct. The show that he’ll direct is supposedly supposed to air on March 18,2009.
I think it’ll be sort of interesting if Tori returns to the show just to see how they use her character, but other than that,I don’t think I could really care less if she were to return. The Kelly and Brenda characters have been integrated ok which I think was needed at first to create enough buzz for the show, but now that the momentum has started to pick up. I think that the new cast members are holding their own,and making a name for themselves as well as making it pretty entertaining. I think Tori’s character might jump in kind of well, late to be blunt. I never really thought her character was all that interesting anyways. She just always kinda meshed in with everyone else.Nothing unique ever really stood out about her which is probably why she wasn’t getting paid as much as her other two cohorts. Just my two cents.
