The Plot / Synopsis : Winner of a staggering 8 Oscar awards, “Slumdog Millionaire” is about Jamal Malik who is an 18 year old orphan from the slums of Mumbai. He goes on India’s “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” show and is doing well. So well in fact, that he is about to win about 20 million rupees. However, when the show breaks for the night, the police arrest him because they think he might be cheating. They don’t understand how a kid from the streets could know so much. In order to prove his innocence, Jamal tells them the story of his life.How he group in the slums with his brother,and the many adventures they went on together. Also the dangerous encounters they had with local gangs, and about Latika, the girl he loved.

Each part of his story reveals the answer to each of the game show’s questions. Then the police wonder why he would go on the game show since he had no desire for riches. The next day Jamal goes back onto the game show with the police and about sixty million viewers who are all about to find out why he’s on the show.
