It’s Official now. Little Dakota Fanning has signed on to be in the sequel to Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight” entitled, “New Moon” which is based on Stephanie Meyer’s Novel. She will play Jane , the deceptively angelic, looking vampire who is a member of the ancient Italian vampire clan known as the Volturi. She will jump on the scene when Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) makes his way over to Italy in the film.

There was speculation for months that she would indeed join the cast while she was in negotiations. Also it was known that she was a fan of the “Twilight” cast, and well,now, she’s a part of it.She went on to say in an interview with MTV that,”The part that I play gets to interact with a lot of the characters, so that would be cool,” Fanning added. “The Volturi” are kind of mean. I think it would be definitely a different part than I’ve ever played,and I’d get to be a little evil for once.” The film will begin shooting later this month in Vancouver.
