It was co-written and produced by Max Martin, who also wrote previous hits for Spears, including “Baby One More Time”,and “Oops!… I Did It Again”.

The video for “If U Seek Amy” began shooting on February 7,2009 and premiered on March 12,2009 on Virgin Mobile USA’s official website and Britney’s official websites. The video starts off pretty provocative at first. Then it eventually ends up with her in a 50′s outfit.

The “If U Seek Amy” single has sold over 107,000 copies within two weeks of the album’s release according Nielsen SoundScan, and has since re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and has gotten to # 53. It has peaked at # 32 in Australia. In Canada, it debuted at # 88, fell off the charts,then made a comeback to peak at # 42 for the date of March 21,2009.

This is surprisingly another pretty good head bopping song from the once teeny bopper queen.
