Ok, so in episode 23 of season 8 “American Idol” they went with “Motown” as the theme which was much more entertaining than country week. Well, for me it was anyways because I can’t stand country or rock genre’s. Very rarely do I like anything that comes out of that whole mix. I think the best performers for Motown night were Matt Giraud with “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gay,Anoop Dawg with “Baby,Baby” Desai,Lil Rounds “Heat Wave” song,Danny Gokey “Get Ready” and last but definitely not least, Adam Lambert with Smokey Robinson’s “Tracks Of My Tears”.He did a freakin awesome job with that song. He is really diverse. I haven’t watched “Idol” much this season,but have caught this guy a few times,and he is one to watch.
The ones I didn’t mention,lol!! Well, their performances speak for themselves. Scott MacIntyre, while he can sing pretty good, all of his performances seam odd to me. He puts weird boring kinds of twists on the songs, and they’re good songs too, but not when he sings them. It’s kinda scary. Off course, he did do sort of a good job last night with ” Can’t Hurry Love”. It still had that kind of odd sound he puts on the songs,though. And Meagan, my God, she was just straight Karioke for sure. She couldn’t even hide it. That performance should get her booted for sure.
While I liked Michael Sarver in the beginning during the audition rounds.In the later rounds, he has sure piced some bad songs to sing , and it’s really disappointing because the boy can sing. So I really hope he can stick around long enough to knock out a good song. Oh, and I can’t forget Kris Allen. You know, he actually did pretty good also with “How Sweet it is to be loved by you”. For me, It’s just not one of the best songs in the world to sing,but he did ok with it. I see him staying another week. Allison Iraheta has an extremely soulful voice for a 16 year old,and yeah I forgot she was definitely a top performer last night. My God, how did I forget. She kinda reminds me of a young Kelly Clarkson are somethin. She should definitely stick around. But, yeah Meagan I totally see her leaving this week. If you’re a Meagan fan, get ready to weep unless something really cray happens with the voting.
