Former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and most recent “Gossip Girl” star, Michelle Trachtenberg is set to star in a new NBC drama for next season entitled, “Mercy”. She’ll be playing a much more mature role in this show. She’ll be one of a trio of nurses in which the show is centered around. Trachtenberg is a newby nurse who is totally inexperienced.

The show is created by Elizabeth Heldens, and will also include former “Men in Trees” star James Tupper, Jaime Lee Kirchner and Taylor Schilling.James Tupper will play Chris Sands who is a new doctor at Mercy hospital that has had an affair with one of the nurses while stationed in Iraq. I personally wish her former boss, Joss Whedon would bring her on board “Dollhouse” to work with Eliza. That would be so damn cool.

Michelle Trachtenberg is also playing opposite Zac Efron in the upcoming movie “17 Again” releasing on April 17,2009.
