I found this promo for Big Brother 11 which came out a little over a month ago from the CBS “Early Show”. It features of course, Julie Chen giving an interview to Robyn Kass who is the casting director for CBS Big Brother, Mike Boogie the winner of “Big brother 7 All-Stars” and Big Brother 2 Contestant,and Brian Hart who was the quickly ousted first contestant of Big Brother 10.

Mike Boogie explains his experience on the show, and states that it’s a lot harder than it looks. Brian also follows suit with the same sort of comments. Then casting director, Robyn Kass goes on to explain what she looks for when casting a contestant for the show. They also give instructions on what a wanna be contestant should do to stand out in an interview to be on the show. Read the rest of this entry »

In Obsessed Derek (Idris Elba) is a successful asset manager, married to Sharon (Beyonce Knowles),and has a little boy with her. One day he meets a new temp at work named Lisa (Ali Carter) on an elevator, and this is the beginning of of a downhill spiral for Derek as he’s just met a crazy lady. The downhill spiral is slow mind you,but definitely sure. She right off the bat, starts to play the game with the laughing,flirting,and asking around the office about Derek. Even though she knows he’s married it doesn’t stop her from taking it up a notch.

In one scene, she acts like she’s unhappy over a break up with an imaginary boyfriend to play on the sympathies of Derek. Then at the annual company Christmas party, is when she really uncomfortably unleashes her unhealthy attraction for him by pinning him up against a stall in the men’s restroom. Music video for Estelle’s “American Boy” song. “American Boy”, is the 2nd single released on Estelle’s studio album entitled, “Shine”. It was released on March 24, 2009, and features rapstar, Kanye West. The song was also a “Grammy Award” winner at the 51st “Grammy Awards”. It won “Best Rap/Song Collaboration”.

The “American Boy’ video was directed by Syndrome,and features cameos by John Legend, Kardinal Offishall, Taz Arnold of Sa-Ra, Naledge and Double-O of Kidz in the Hall, Danger Mouse, Consequence, Hi-Tek, Ryan Leslie, T.I., Brandon Hines, and Terrence J of 106 & Park, and LL Cool J. Tonight (4-29-09) on American Idol elimination night, they kicked off the show by getting right down to see who would be in the bottom three. It ended up surprisingly that Adam Lambert ended up there with Matt Giraud,and Kris Allen while Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta remained safe as the top two vote getters this week. Then we saw performances from Natalie Cole, Taylor Hicks, and last but definitely not least, Jamie Foxx performed his # 1 hit song, and my personal favorite at the moment, “Blame It”(On The Alcohol).

He brought the house down with that jam. I loved it. Ryan also revealed in the middle there somewhere that Kris Allen was safe which added more to the surprise outcome of Adam Lambert being in the bottom two. Read the rest of this entry »

Tonight (4-28-09) on American Idol we saw the final five perform for the coveted final four positions, and I gotta tell you it looks pretty close. I mean for the first time in about six or seven years, I wasn’t completely and utterly disgusted with the American Idol final five. They brought on a good guest in Jamie Fox to help coach them through this round,and I learned that his hit song, “Blame It” hit the # 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.I knew it had gotten to # 5 at one point so bravo for him. That’s his first # 1 hit single. Sorry I digressed.

Amy Pascal and Michael Lynton who are the head Honchos of Sony Pictures Entertainment recently told Forbes.com that they maybe filming the 4th installment of the “Spider Man” franchise in 3-D. They say people are paying more money to see pictures in 3-D these days,and that they might like to cash in on that with their already box office money magnet, “Spider Man”.

They go on to say that even if Spider Man doesn’t go the 3-d route,it will be around for many more years to come. Amy Pascal stated that she hopes Tobey Maguire sticks around for all of them. She couldn’t imagine anyone else taking over the role of Peter Parker.

Leighton Meester, the girl who plays Blaire Waldorf on the CW’s hit tv show, “Gossip Girl” is apparently a professional singer, and has signed a record deal with Universal Republic through Time-Act Music for her first debut album set to release during the fall of 2009. My sources tell me that the music she’s recording has an “electro pop edge sound to it. She began recording in March of 2009 with top producers and artists like : Polow Da Don (Usher, Fergie), Harvey Mason, Jr. (Justin Timberlake, Pink) and Spencer Nezey (Jupiter Rising).

That’s wild to me. I never would have guest it. I’m pretty curious to see what here music sounds like. The artists and producers that she is working with are mint. I gotta hear her stuff when it comes out. Read the rest of this entry »

On Friday (4-24-09) NBC revealed their cast for their latest installment of “I’m a Celebrity. Get Me Out of Here” reality show. The last time I heard of this show was way back in 2003 which featured Howard Stern’s “Stuttering John” at the time, old school MTV VJ “Down Town Julie Brown, Model Tyson Beckford,and a couple others that don’t come to memory at the moment. Apparently though, there’s been some international versions going on as if anyone over here, cared. I know I sure don’t

This new cast that NBC has lined up will include : Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt of MTV’s “The Hills”,former NBA basketball player John Salley, Janice Dickinson the former supermodel, former American Idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar who I refuse to believe is a celebrity,but I do think he needs to get out of here. Cameron Diaz is currently in talks with Warner Bros to star in their new “Bobbie Sue” legal comedy movie. Donald De Line who produced the recent “I love You,Man” and “Observe and Report” comedy films is set to produce “Bobbie Sue” as well. The plot is that the possible Diaz character is a hard charging female ambulance chaser with a mindset that would make her a perfect candidate to represent a high profile law firm after a very powerful client is sued in a discrimination case.

Warner Bros bought the script this past fall,and has appointed Dana Fox to polish the screenplay. Andrew Haas, the senior vice president of De Line will be the executive producer. Read the rest of this entry »
