Fast & furious, the 2009 version, started right off the bat with an exciting, live in your face, high speed car chase that ended with a huge explosion. Unfortunately for Michelle Rodriguez, her role as Letty was short lived as she was killed off by one of Braga’s men. The plot of the film is that Braga is the leader of an illegal drug trafficing organization. They’re looking for drivers to help drive their expensive product over the Mexican border without getting caught by border patrol. Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) who was dating Letty is very upset that she was killed and when he finds out Braga is behind it, he tries out to be a driver so he can eventually get to him.

Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) also finds out about it because he’s part of the FBI,and is now reinstated as an agent. Read the rest of this entry »

In this new comedy co-starring the versatile “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart. Character, James Brennan (Jesse Eisenberg) graduates from college.His parents supposedly owe him a vacation trip to Europe and financial help with an apartment in New York for when he goes to grad school. This is not the case,though as his father has been demoted at his job making way less money than he previously did before. So, young James is forced to get a summer job at the local “Adventureland” amusement park. While he’s there, he meets a cute girl named, Em Lewin (Kristen Stewart). She seems to like him ,and they awkwardly hit it off. But there’s much more to Em than James is aware of as she has issues with her parents,and is sleeping with the amusement park maintenance man,Mike Connell (Ryan Reynolds) who is also married. On Tuesday April 7,2009, mega rap star, Eminem will be coming out with a new music video for upcoming single, “We Made You” . The song is off his new album Relapse which is set to be released on May 19,2009. I’m personally glad to see him back.He hasn’t been out since like 2005ish,and I thought his last album wasn’t all that great. I was really glad when I heard his recent single, “Crack a Bottle” because it really sounded like the old Eminem from way back when he first came out. It was very comical,and had a nice beat. I’m really hoping this “We Made You” song is just as good if not better. Even though he was coupled with Dr. Dre and 50 cent on “Crack a Bottle”, I really got a sense that he was back to his original form which I like a lot. Miley Cyrus announced on her website that she’ll be performing on American Idol on April 15,2009. Although the show hasn’t officially made the announcement that she’ll be performing, I believe Miley. I don’t think she would need to lie about anything like this. I mean she is like a mega star,now,right ? She also revealed that she’ll be performing her new song, “The Climb” which I have not yet heard, but I’m sure all her many fans have especially since the song loads up when you visit her website. Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” aired it’s latest episode entitled “Needs” last night,and it was no let down . In fact it took me for quite a spin.The Dollhouse decided to test four of the actives : Echo,Victor / Lubov, Sierra,Melle,and one other one,but he’s wasn’t important. I think he was just filler since his test ended at the beginning of the episode, and there’s no cast info for him .So Echo and the others to complete their test. CW’s “The Game ” came with their 17th episode entitled “Hill Street Blues” on April 3,2009. The show once again was able to display a good mix of drama and comedy as Derwin’s jealous temper leads him to confront Janay’s ex boyfriend, Hill Harper (guest-starring as himself) on the set of his movie over a list of songs he wrote down on a piece of paper for her. Meanwhile, Melanie tries to find a way to bring closure to her and Derwin’s relationship.She starts off by making out with the cable guy.

The show also brought some great comical moments with a scene of Derwin playing poker with his teamates having funny guy talk,and cracking jokes. Read the rest of this entry »

Also known for his 1976 role as Kelly in the “Bad News Bears” and Dukes in Will Ferrell’s “Semi Pro”, Jackie Earle Haley is going to be taking over the role that made Robert Englund famous back in the 1980′s as the infamous Freddy Krueger who terrorizes high school kids in their dreams. I’m glad to hear he got the part. I thought he was excellent in “Watchmen” as Rorschach,and I just recently learned he was that Kelly character in the old 1976 “Bad News Bears” movie,but as soon as I was told he was in the “Bad News Bears” movie, I knew it was him. It brought back a bit of nastalgia for me. I used to love watching the “Bad News Bears” as a kid. He was in the acting business up until the early 90′s,1993 to be exact. Then left for a while ,and made a come back in 2006 by playing a pedophile in Todd Field’s “Little Children”.

This latest installment of “Nightmare on Elm Street” is New Line Cinema’s attempt at a reboot of the franchise, and will be directed by Samuel Bayer. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve heard from a couple of my sources that a script for the sequel has already been written,but that the director of the film, James Wong doesn’t want to jump the gun ,and say that the script is in existence. I can understand that. They want to wait and see how this first installment does at the box office next week on April 10,2009. But folks,let me tell you if there is indeed a script already written,and this movie does as well as I think it will do. Then there will definitely be a sequel to this bad boy.

The movie trailer looks awesome with a lot of fighting and special effects. That kind of stuff is always a big draw. The only thing I think would make this movie sink at the box office, is poor marketing. I haven’t seen a whole lot of tv spots for it yet,and there’s only a week left to crank them out before their first opening weekend premier. Read the rest of this entry »

Last night (April 2,2009) the CW aired their latest episode of Smallville entitled, “Eternal” which detailed Davis’ arrival to the Earth by stating that he arrived here with Clark. While Clark was found by the Kents. Davis wasn’t so lucky and was picked up or captured, I should say, by the less gentle Luthor Corp people. He was basically treated like crap once they found out he wasn’t the boy they were looking for. They were actually looking for Clark who is supposed to be the so called “Traveler” from another planet sent to save the world. Tess stumbles onto this information and tries to kill Davis by blowing up his car,but then soon finds out he’s immortal when he doesn’t die of course. Read the rest of this entry »

It seems like these days, that eveyone wants to get in on a piece of the hot new “Twilight” sequel, “New Moon”,but only a few lucky new comers have made it on board. One such new comer is, 20 year old Jamie Campbell-Bower. He’s been in such films as “RockNRolla” and Johnny Depp’s “Sweeney Todd”. Now, he will play Caius in “New Moon” who is part of Dakota Fanning’s Volturi clan.

Caius is part of an Italian coven of vampires. According to the Stephanie Meyer’s novel which this movie is derived from, Caius is one of the leaders of the Volturi clan of vampires, and is insistent that Bella not be allowed to leave Italy alive. Caius is also one of only three vampires in Italy who live what Edward Cullen’s character describes as a very civilized lifestyle. Read the rest of this entry »
