MTV doesn’t mess around when it come to delivering us the latest movie clips from high profile movies. In this series of “Star Trek” movie clips it sort of feels like you’re watching the entire film. In the first clip we see Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) trying to pick up a girl named Uhura (Zoe Saldana) at a bar. In the 2nd clip James Kirk gets a lecture from some guy about how he should be more like his father. It looks like sort of a dull moment in the film.
In the 3rd clip things start to get a little intense as some mental case is worried about what might happen if something goes wrong on their flight. The fourth clip shows some men talking about the ship that Spock (Zachary Quinto) is on,and then they break into “fight” mode. It’s kind of interesting. In clip 5 we see James Kirk’s first meeting with John Cho’s character, Hikaru Sulu . John Cho is the Asian dude from the “Harold and Kumar”, and “American Pie” films.
Last but certainly not least we see the first interaction between James T Kirk and Spock as he is beamed aboard Spock’s ship while it is at warp speed. I also just realized that Spock is Zachary Quinto or Sylar from NBC “Heroes”. That’s kinda neat. “Star Trek” opens in theaters next week, May 8,2009.
