I had heard about this story for quite some time after the success of the new “Beverly Hills 90210″ show. It’s totally official now,though. The CW has released the new promo (below) for it,and now has it up as a new show coming this fall (2009) on their cwtv.com website.

The show’s plot patterned after the original 1990′s series,is about an elegant apartment building on Melrose in Los Angeles. A group of 20 somethings have formed a pretty good relationship. Almost like a family which is centered around landlady Sydney Andrews played by Laura Leighton from the original Melrose place series. She apparently has a bit of a crush on David Breck who is the son of Dr. Michael Mancini who she also had a previous romantic relationship with on the original show.

Sydney will also play another pivotal role in the lives of the tenants at Melrose place when a bloody body is found floating in the courtyard pool. The police will also discover that everyone there had a good reason to want the dead person out of the way. I personally am really interested to see how the pilot turns out because I used to always watch the original show when it premiered on fox back in 1992.
