The CW networks is debuting a new show this fall based on a series of books by L.J. Smith called the “Vampire Diaries”. They have now released a minute and a half long pilot promo trailer which gives us a look at some pretty intense scenes.

The plot of the pilot involves Elana Gilbert who is very beautiful and outgoing,and has always been a star student. As the fall semester approaches, she becomes very fascinated by a mysterious new boy at school named Stefan Salvatore. She has no idea he’s a centuries old vampire since of course, they don’t age. Stefan tries to live peacefully among humans,but his brother Damon is evil with nothing but violence on his mind. These two brothers engage in an ongoing battle over the beautiful Elana in the small town of Mystic falls, Virginia.

I gotta say this sounds a lot like “Twilight”. Why don’t they just make “Twilight” into a tv show? I mean, I’m sure there are some differences between the two plots, but as a whole, it sure sounds very similar. I personally wish they would just bring “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” back. I thought that was the coolest vampire show around. One things for sure,though. They’ve cast some hotties in this “Vampire Diaries” show which will definitely help with the male audience.
