In reports from my sources and on the show’s website, Fox has renewed Joss Whedon’s new drama entitled, “Dollhouse” which made it’s debut on the network back in February of 2009 as a midseason addition. Fox aired 12 episodes,but failed to air the mystical 13th episode . This fact along with low tv ratings lead the media to believe that the show would definitely be canceled. But, the network in a surprise move, took into consideration the shows high DVR,online streaming,and DVD sales numbers to make their decision on renewing the show.

Also it is reported that Fox executives liked the show,especially the 2nd half of it. Also 20th TV has decided to take on much of the show’s budgeting costs which would take away Fox having to shell most of the money to keep the show on.

If you’re a fan of the show like I am, this is great news. I loved this show from the get-go. I thought it was very unique and different despite it being one of the lowest rated dramas to get renewed. I totally look forward to a second season of this show,and hopefully the regular tv show time ratings will pick up along with the DVR and online streaming ratings. I know I for one, was one of the ones who would watch it online the next day as I didn’t have time to watch it on Friday nights.

The show’s plot in short, is about individuals called dolls or actives who have volunteered to be programmed with any personality that is necessary to carry out the “Dollhouse” client’s needs.
