This news has been out for a couple of weeks, but I figured some people still might not know. Heck I just found out about it,today. Chad Michael Murray who plays the role of Lucas Scott and Hilarie Burton who plays Peyton Sawyer on CW’s hit show, “One Tree Hill” are exiting the show for good. That’s right. They will not be back for the show’s upcoming 7th season. Apparently,according to my sources, they had been involved in ongoing contract negotiations with the network for several months,and unfortunately could never come to an agreement. So the network’s season finale was their last appearance.
However, on a good note, the CW is not without resource. They will fill their spots with three new characters. One will play Haley’s older sister who’s a sports agent that ends up representing Nathan (James Lafferty). The next new character will be an actress / model that Brooke hires to be the new face of her clothing line. Then, Austin Nichols who plays Julian and Brooke’s boyfriend is being upgraded to a regular on the show.
Wow, that news came as a total shocker to me since Chad and Hilarie are both original and major cast members of the show. I almost can’t imagine them not being on the show,but I guess I’ll have to. Man, money really does talk,and bad contract negotiations cause people to walk.

I guess I don’t understand how making no money is better than making a little less than what you want, and if you look at the history of people fighting the network for more money, it hasn’t turned out very well for most.
