Summer is a time for big blockbusters, when studios pull out all the stops and deliver over-the-top fun movies. With heat waves hitting cities around the nation, there’s no better time to get out of the sun and into a cool, dark theater for a few hours to relax with a movie and some popcorn. The wait is over. My sources say that the Big Brother 11 houseguests will be revealed on “The Early Show” on July 1,2009 between 7am and 9am central time. Julie Chen will announce them. We’ll post the contestants as soon as we find out who they are.

The premiere of Big Brother 11 is Thursday July 9,2009 at 7pm central time. From looking at the CBS Big Brother website, it looks like there will be 12 contestants this year,but I’ve heard rumors that there could be as many as 16. The CW has released a new “Vampire Diaries” promo clip (below) today June 30,2009 entitled “Love Sucks”. The Clip shows Nina Dobrev who plays Elena in black and white. She describes how love bites,and that sometimes it can feel like the greatest thing in the world. It can make you feel safe. It can make you forget everything.

According to reports from NY daily news, The cruel and brutally honest,English judge Simon Cowell could make up to $144 million to do the upcoming season 9 of “American Idol”. They said he was already making $36 million from the show which is already plenty enough, but now Fox is offering him a reported three to four times more than that amount this year.

I say kudos to him. Somebody’s got to rake in all the cash,right ? Simon also has stake in other shows like Britain’s Got Talent” and “The X-Factor”. I’ve also heard elsewhere that the other judges only bring in maybe a million from the show, which is a lot, but not comparatively speaking, to Simon’s 36 million, and possible upcoming raise of $144 million. MTV news recently did a special on Forks High school in Forks Washington, the same area that was featured in the “Twilight” movie. Apparently they have been hosting a “Twilight” summer school symposium and a “Twilight” prom over there. Also a lot of “Twilighters” have been hanging out in Forks. A “Twilight” podcaster also made a visit there.

They visited the same places where Edward and Bella went in the movie. They also stated how similar the town looks to the way Stephanie Meyers described it in her books, which was incredible especially since Stephanie Meyers had never been there. She just Googled it. They show how the town has been transformed into a Twilight tourist attraction,now that the movie has become so popular. Read the rest of this entry »

The bigbrothernetwork.com site has recently put up official photos of the Big Brother 11 house. I’ve included two of them here. They have photos of the outside where the pool table is ,the sleeping cots, the bedrooms,the bathroom area (including the toilet,lol ! ), and just any of area of the house that you could imagine wanting or not wanting to see. According to reports, ABC’s hit drama “Desperate Housewives” has brought on “Sons of Anarchy” star Drea de Matteo to play an Edie like role in their upcoming sixth season. Sources say that the executive producer Marc Cherry needed to infuse Fairview with something new since Edie Britt played by Nicollette Sheridan is now dead and another housewife has gotten married.

According to our sources she is supposed to play an Edie like character who has a son and husband. She’s also Italian. They also said that Drea’s character Wendy Case on “Sons of Anarchy” could now be pushed to the background since she’s got a new “Desperate Housewives” gig. Read the rest of this entry »

Justin Hartley who plays the “Green Arrow” on CW’s “Smallville” made a statement to E! online stating, “I heard Oliver’s going to start drinking again. He’d better be a funny drunk. Who wants an angry drunk around?”

Also in recent news, “Smallville has cast Callum Blue to play General Zod in the upcoming 9th season of “Smallville” along with Brian Austin Green who will play a villain named “Metallo” . He recently dumped a “One Tree Hill” role for this part. I think there may be some future plans in it for him, or so I’ve heard. I’m not to sure at this point,though. We’ll keep you posted.

E! online reports in their spoiler chat, that Chad Michael Murray (Lucas Scott) and Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer) will most likely not return for any guest appearances, saying that it’s very doubtful at best,but maybe in the finale.

They also say that Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) and Julian’s (Austin Nichols) relationship looks like it will last. Last, they say that there will be another time jump of one year when the show returns this fall for it’s 7th season. I personally can’t believe they’re doing another time jump. Christian Serratos who plays Angela Weber in “Twilight” and “New Moon” recently gave an interview to omgcelebritynews.com at the 36th Annual 2009 Vision Awards. She talked about the differences in filming with Catherine Hardwicke and Chris Weitz.

She said Catherine was really cool,eccentric, and fun to be around.She allowed her to work on the project so she owes her everything. She said Chris Weitz always made sure they were on the set,and doing what they were supposed to be doing,but he was also really chill and funny.He would crack joke, after joke, after joke.
