Cam Gigandet who played the evil vampire James in Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight” film, has got a new vampire gig going on in a new movie called “Priest”. Screen Gems, a division of Sony Corp will be distributing it. “Priest” is going to be a horror Western flick,and will be directed by Scott Stewart.

In this film,guess what. Cam is playing a vampire, again. Only this time, he’ll be a good vampire,and only half vampire. The plot of the film is that it’s set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. It will follow a character named Bettany who is a warrior priest that turns against the church in an effort to hunt a band of murderous vampires who have kidnapped his niece.

Cam Gigandet will play a young wasteland sheriff who is part vampire that teams up with Bettany to save his niece. Michael De Luca, Josh Donen,and Mitchell Peck will be producing the film.

Cam Gigandet is a hard working actor these days, as he has a couple of other films lined up which include : “Easy A” starring Emma Stone and Amanda Bynes ( He will play a third time senior in high school who still hasn’t graduated), “The Roomate” with Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly.

He also recently won the “Best Fight” award for the 2nd time at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards along with Robert Pattinson for his work in “Twilight”.
