The people over at ShockTillYouDrop.com recently gave Jackson Rathbone of “Twilight” and “New Moon” an interview. Jackson played the vampire Jasper Hale. He’s the one getting thrown into the piano in the “New Moon” trailer after trying to attack Bella when she gets a paper cut.

Jackson shared his experience of making the first film “Twilight”. He said that they were all making the film together,and that Catherine Hardwicke, the director brought a really fun vibe on to the set. He went on to state, “It was a little stressful because as we kept filming, the press kept getting more of it and the fans kept being more into it. All these websites started popping up, and all these things. It was amazing. It was like, ‘Oh, wow, this is going to be something else!’ We started making this movie and people are already loving it and it’s not even out yet. It has six months to come out and they’re already lining up in the movie theaters. That was an experience in and of itself. I wasn’t really prepared for it, but I was really thankful for it, because they’re so supportive of what we do. As an actor, you need an audience.”

He,then shared the major differences between the production of “New Moon” and “Twilight”. He said that they now have a bigger budget,and a little bit more pressure to produce,but he said the good thing was that they are delving deeper into the story with “New Moon”. “As the films progress, you get deeper into the lore and they mythical world you’re establishing with the werewolves and get more into what the werewolf society and legacy is. It keeps getting deeper.”

He then explained the differences if any about the vibe on the set with the new director Chris Weitz, and the added pressure of making a sequel. He stated that it was good to see the cast again,and that it was like they had only been away for a month instead of a year. Then he said of Chris Weitz, “In terms of having a new director, nothing really changed too much. It was just a different subtle vibe, because the director manages the energy on set. It was great. We all wanted to come together and make another great piece of art for the fans. It’s really about what they want to see, because they’re the ones buying the tickets.”

He also went on to reveal that the “New Moon” trailer didn’t show the whole scene of him getting thrown into the piano, and that he got to do more of his own stunts in “New Moon”.There’s going to be a lot more action in “New Moon”

They also said that Rathbone is going to be producing his own film called “Girlfriend” which will be directed by a new up and coming director Justin Lerner.
