‘The Hangover’ Movie Sequel Has Been In The Works

“The Hangover” movie has seen a lot of box office success as of late as it is still number one . One might think that the decision for a sequel was made after the success occurred, but with this particular movie, that is not the case. Apparently Warner Bros. had already decided to go through with plans for a sequel two months before the movie came out according to Variety who actually ran the story back in April of 2009.
They reported that the film tested strongly at the time so they went ahead and made the decision to hire the director Todd Phillips to write a sequel with Scot Armstrong. Todd Phillips will direct and produce “The Hangover” sequel through his Green Hat Films banner. The WB are also bringing back the original stars, Bradley Cooper,Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms.
Variety reported that the WB hopes to start production on the sequel later this year. Another film that got a sequel this year before the first film was released, is Star Trek. Roberto Orci,Alex Kurtzman, and Damon Lindelof will write the script, and J.J. Abrams will be back to produce it with Bryan Burk.
The plot to “The Hangover” was that four friends went to Las Vegas to have a bachelor party for the groom, but when their drinks accidentally get spiked, all hell breaks loose, and they spend the rest of the film looking for the groom before his wedding day arrives. It’s extremely hilarious, and if you haven’t seen it, you should. You really, really should. I definitely look forward to the sequel. I wanna see what else they can do with this film.
