Here are the first photos of “New Moon” star Dakota Fanning in full costume for her upcoming “Runaways” movie where she co stars with her New Moon cast mate Kristen Stewart in the film. She will be playing the lead singer Cherie Currie. Kristen Stewart is playing Joan Jett.

The movies plot is about a true life teenage ban called the “Runaways” who paved the way for other popular girl bands back in the 70’s. They had hit songs like “Cherry Bomb” and “Born to Be Bad.” Stella Maeve (Sandy West) and Alessandra Torresani(Lita Ford) will also co star in the film. These photos were taken on Sunday June 21,2009 out in Encino California.
