According to reports, the long time running CBS crime drama “CSI: Miami” has hired Eddie Cibrian to join the cast as a regular for it’s upcoming 8th season. He will play a new character on the show, who is an officer from the Hollywood division that joins the team in Miami. In “CSI: Miami’s” seventh season finale, the life of Eric Delko played by Adam Rodriguez was left questionable. However, according my sources, Rodriguez is supposed to return to the show next season.

Eddie Cibrian’s last project was a studio pilot drama called “Washington Field” last season. He’s also supposed to star in an upcoming Hallmark Channel original movie entitled “Healing Hands”. In it, he plays a guy who develops healing powers after he falls off a ladder and hits his head. Eddie also had a recurring role on ABC’s “Ugly Betty” show. He also played Griff Walker in “Baywatch Nights”, way back when.

“CSI: Miami” airs Mondays 9pm central time on CBS this fall
