According to reports thousands of people showed up for their shot to be on “American Idol” at the Dallas Cowboys brand new stadium. The registration began two days ago Thursday June 25,2009. The contestants stood outside in 100 + degree weather while waiting outside of the Dallas Cowboys stadium, to get a chance to tryout.

This is actually just the first round of the audition process. If a contestant makes it through this round, they’ll have to get through a couple more rounds before they’re able to actually perform in front of Paula,Randy,Simon,and Kara. I find this to be a very interesting fact because some of the contestants I’ve seen perform in front of them, I wouldn’t think could make it past an elementary school talent show. Much less a professional one like “American Idol”.

I think the producers just pick outrageous people to make it through so they can have some good,funny,early, audition footage for the tv show.
