A couple of days before Michael died, he had been rehearsing for a 50 date tour in London which he said would be his final tour. Access Hollywood released these two photos (one above,one below) of him rehearsing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on June 23,2009. His tour was going to begin on July 13,2009,and he would’ve done 50 shows at London’s 02 arena, according to reports.
He had been working with his band ,crew,choreographers,and dancers which was said to be his comeback after having gone on a 12 year hiatus from performing on stage. his manager Frank Dileo was there with him in Los Angeles,and said that Michael was in good spirits. He stated, “I was with Michael everyday going to rehearsals, Wednesday and Thursday he was the happiest.On Wednesday, he put his arm around me at the end of the day and he said, ‘Frank, I’ve never been happier. We’re going to make this work. It’s our time again Frank. We’re going to do this!”
He also said that Michael appeared to be in top physical shape. He said , “He seemed in great health. He was working out everyday.†USA Today reported that his tour had already brought in $85 million and sold an estimated 750,000 tickets.
