MTV has been gathering comments from numerous celebrities, giving their thoughts on Michael Jackson and his unfortunate passing. JC Chasez, who performed with Michael Jackson along with NSync at the 2001 VMA’s said, ” It was a childhood dream come true. It was kind of like my life had come full-circle at that point. First you dream about being able to dance like him and the next thing you know you’re standing next to him while you’re dancing. As a professional, you want to reach the top of your game. Then you find yourself on the MTV awards and you share that moment with him. He’s a language. He’s a piece of vernacular when you talk about dancing, singing entertainment.”

R&B superstar Usher had this to say, “It’s pretty hard right now, man. Michael Jackson transcended culture. He transcended love, man. He changed the barrier of life and the way we looked at things.” Read the rest of this entry »

The BET awards show that’s being held tomorrow June 28,2009 at the Shrine Auditorium is reported to be switched around to honor Michael Jackson in his passing. Artists : Beyonce, Wyclef Jean and Ne-Yo are scrambling to change their performances to honor Michael. The show will be hosted by Jamie Fox. Stephen Hill, the executive producer for the awards show said that the whole thing will be dedicated to Michael because of his influence on music and pop culture. Reports say that it includes : 7 new pull out posters, 140 photos of the twilight saga cast members,secrets from the set of “New Moon”,and cast interviews with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart,Taylor Lautner,and others.

It also includes behind the scenes info on the filming of “New Moon”,interviews with the author Stephanie Meyers,red carpet photos of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson,and of course it has solo photos of Robert Pattinson. Most customers on the Barnes and Noble site are saying that it is original,inspiring,entertaining,useful,provocative,and motivating.

Melissa Rosenberg who is the screenwriter for “Twilight” and “New Moon” recently sat down with makingof.com to give an interview about her experience working on the epic “Twilight Saga” films.

She said working on the “Twilight” set has been one of the greatest experiences of her career. She really didn’t know how big an opportunity it was when she first got the gig. She said that it turned out to be more than she ever could have hoped for. Then she talks about her experience working for the now canceled popular Fox “O.C.” show,and how it lead to her first working with Summit Entertainment who produced to the “Twilight Saga” films.

Kristen Stewart, star of the recent “New Moon” / “Twilight Saga” movie series, interviewed with Nylon Magazine TV back in February of 2009. This video shows her doing a fashion shoot and answering questions. She talks about how the whole “Twilight” hype has made it easier for her to get jobs,and that she doesn’t have to fight so hard to do things that she cares about.

She talked about how she’s going to be playing Joan Jett when she was fifteen years old in “The Runaways” movie. She says it’s cool,badass,and meaningful. Back on November 26,2008, the “Twilight”, “New Moon” star Kristen Stewart interviewed with Regis & Kelly. She talked about how she had been in show business since she was discovered by an agent at a school play. She said her first film was called “The Safety of Objects” which was sort of a dark independent movie,and her first commercial movie was called “Panic Room”. They show a picture of her with Jody Foster in the movie.

Ashton Kutcher’s movie trailer for his new romantic comedy,movie “Spread”, released yesterday June 25,2009. It stars : Ashton Kutcher, Anne Heche, Margarita Levieva, Sebastian Stan, Rachel Blanchard, Sonia Rockwell.

Press Secretary Robert Gibbs spoke with Obama about Michael’s passing, MTV reports. The President said that obviously Michael Jackson was a spectacular performer and a music icon. “I think everybody remembers hearing his songs, watching him moonwalk on television during Motown’s 25th Anniversary.” Barack also stated that, “Jackson had aspects of his life that were sad and tragic. And his condolences went out to the Jackson family and to the fans that mourned his loss.”

Diana Ross,Smokey Robinson,and Madonna also payed tribute to Michael. Diana Ross said, “I can’t stop crying; this is too sudden and shocking.I am unable to imagine this. My heart is hurting. I am in prayer for his kids and the family.” Read the rest of this entry »

MTV reported that Lil Wayne said he personally can’t believe that Michael Jackson died. “It’s more unfortunate for the world of music”,and that his heart goes out to his family. He said it’s a sad day in history,not just music.

Chris Brown said in a statement to MTV, “Michael Jackson is the reason why I do music and why I am an entertainer. I am devastated by this great loss, and I will continue to be humbled and inspired by his legacy. My prayers are with his family. Michael will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He’s the greatest … the best ever. No one will ever be better.”

Universal Pictures reportedly Pulled a Michael Jackson related scene from the new Sasha Baron Cohen “Bruno” movie premiere out in Las Angeles on Thursday June 25,2009 due to the passing of Michael Jackson. The scene entailed Bruno giving an interview to LaToya Jackson about different topics. Some of which, included Michael. They said there was a joke about Michael’s high pitched voice,and his white glove trademark.

The scene had apparently played at press screenings earlier in the week, but after Michael died on Thursday, they decided to remove it out of sensitivity to the Jackson family. The film supposedly now cuts directly from the “Bruno” gonzo interview with Paula Abdul to a focus group for his faux reality show. Read the rest of this entry »
