CW’s hit show “Gossip Girl” has made some new casting decisions,and has decided to bring on the canceled “Privileged” CW show star, Joanna Garcia to play a recurring role in the show’s upcoming 3rd season. She will play an evil Miss America type blonde from a conservative Southern family who is politically progressive. Her storyline is currently being kept a secret, but she is reportedly expected to have a romantic fling with one of the show’s regular cast members.

Joanna Garcia played Megan Smith who was a Yale graduate hired to tutor two spoiled teen daughters on the CW’s “Privileged” show. Privileged was canceled way before last season ended. I don’t know the exact reason why,but I suspect it was because the storyline was going nowhere. Just around in circles. It started off kind of interesting,but it really had nowhere to go. She also played in Reba Mc Entire’s CW & WB show as Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery, which was canceled in 2007. Read the rest of this entry »

According to showbiz411, Michael Jackson was reportedly very happy the night before his death. His manager Frank DiLeo said, “The show at the Staples Center was amazing. Michael rehearsed 10 or 11 songs. He sang and danced, not always at full power, but the way you do for a run-through. When the show was over, he called me, but I was in the back getting something. He found me, and said, ‘Frank, I am so happy. He said he was just so happy. He said, This is really our time. He put his arm around me.”

Frank DiLeo said the memory of that moment will always be reassuring,but the timing of his death was the craziest for him. Michael and Frank had not worked together for about 20 years,but in the last couple of weeks, he had become his manager again. EW.com interviewed “Twilight” and “New Moon” star Taylor . He shares that he didn’t know how big “Twilight” would become when he first got cast for it. He said he had never even heard of the series before he was cast. He said the fans are amazing,and that he would definitely pick “Team Jacob” over “Team Edward”.

He goes on to describe the differences between the Jacob Black and Edward Cullen characters.He talked about the beach scene in the “Twilight” movie. Then they talked about what happens to Jacob’s character in the “Breaking Dawn” installment. He talked about how he got to meet Stephanie Meyer,and that she was really cool. “New Moon” and “Twilight” star Jackson Rathbone who plays Jasper Hale in the “Twilight Saga” films is set star in a romantic comedy entitled “Girlfriend”. He will play a character who is both trustworthy and potentially dangerous. The writer/director Justin Learner stated, ” ‘Girlfriend’ is the chance to see Jackson front and center as the kind of character where, at any moment, we’re not sure if there’s the potentiality to cause harm or to be a good guy, but in a more gritty, realistic indie film”.

This is director Lerner’s first feature film, and he describes it as a “harsh, modern-day take on the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ fable.” The movie will be a real world story set in Middle America which will bring Rathbone’s character into a very bizarre Read the rest of this entry »

Poptv.com continued their “live on the set location” coverage of the filming of Robert Pattinson’s new film “Remember Me”. This video shows teenage girl fans running down the street trying to see Robert. It’s also a very rainy,dreary day in New York. Security is constantly telling the fans to get to the other side of the street as they try and capture snap shots of Robert.

They show Robert shooting basket balls. The video loses sound at this point. Then it mostly just shows him standing around drinking something and talking to his co-star Emilie de Ravin who plays Ally Craig in the film. Then they head over and stand in front of a taxi cab ,and start reading what looks to be their scripts for the shoot.

At this point, the the sound for the video comes back on, Yay! Robert and Emilie start working with the director, it looks like, to shoot a scene. Read the rest of this entry »

The Thursday June 25,2009 elimination show of “So You Think You Can Dance” started off with a routine from the dancers to a song called “I Know You Want Me”. Nigel , then took the time to honor entertainers : Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcett, and Ed McMahon due to their passing this week. They also showed Michael Jackson’s classic “Thriller” video leading into the first break.

Then after the break, they got right down to the results. They reviewed the first set of couples, and Vitolio Jeune & Asuka Kondoh, were revealed to be in the bottom three.

According to Zap2it, “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell is in talks with British billionaire Sir Philip Green to form an entertainment company that will develop content in the United States and United Kingdom. The potential partnership would act as a holding company for all of Simon’s entertainment productions which include : “Britain’s Got Talent”. “America’s Got Talent”, and “The X-Factor”.

Sir Philip Green owns British Home stores and the Arcadia group which is responsible for clothing outlets : “Top Shop”, “Dorothy Perkins”,”Miss Selfridge” which brings in fashion icons like Kate Moss.

According to the New York Daily News, The king of pop Michael Jackson died today Thursday June 25,2009 at age 50. After being found unconscious and not breathing at his home. The Fire Department paramedics were summoned to to his Bel Air home at 12:26 p.m. by a 911 call. It’s reported that they desperately tried to resuscitate him on the way to the UCLA Medical Center. Initially, he was reported to be in a deep coma. Then shortly after that, they said that he died. The cause of his death, at this time are unknown. Last month, it was reported by his spokesman that his health was great.

This is really upsetting since I grew up listening to him. It really hits home. Another famous person died today by the name of Farrah Fawcett who was 62 years old. Read the rest of this entry »

The Jonas Brothers’ latest album, “Lines,Vines and Trying Times” is set to debut at # 1 on the Billboard charts on the week of June 29,2009. This will be their second album to debut at the # 1 slot in less than a year, reports MTV. Nielson SoundScan reports that their latest album has sold more than 247,000 copies in it’s first week to take over the Billboard # 1 slot for a 2nd time. Their last album entitled, “A Little Bit Longer” hit # 1, last August of 2008 by selling more than 525,000 copies in its first week.

The Black Eyed Peas “The E.N.D.” will slip to # 2 having sold 148,000 copies. The Dave Matthews Band’s “Big Whiskey & The GrooGrux King” comes in at # 3. Next to follow, is Eminem’s “Relapse”, coming in at # 4 with 72,000 copies sold. Read the rest of this entry »

Paramount Pictures has released their first teaser poster for their “Iron Man” 2 movie, set to be released on May 7, 2010 . It will star Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, John Slattery, Kate Mara, Clark Gregg, Olivia Munn.
