CW’s hit show “Gossip Girl” has brought on Hilary Duff to play a guest role on it’s upcoming 3rd season, according to Zap2it. They are also reporting that Hilary might start a relationship with one of the “Gossip Girl” guys.

She will play a character named Olivia who will be Vanessa Abrams roommate at NYU. Olivia is also a one time child star who wants a normal college experience and hopes that her fame doesn’t ruin it.

Her joining, follows the casting of Joanna Garcia who’s character is reported to be Nate Archibald’s (Chase Crawford) new love interest. The news of Hilary joining the show was confirmed earlier today by the CW. “Gossip Girl” will air Mondays at 8pm central time this fall.
