American Idol judge and former popstar Paula Abdul will be guest starring on a new Lifetime drama show called “Drop Dead Diva”. She will play a fictionalized version of herself .

She will be a court judge in one episode of the series which is going to star Brooke Elliott who plays a former skinny model who dies and wakes up in the body of a plus sized attorney named Jane.

Paula Abdul will appear in a dream sequence on the show as a bedazzled judge when the Jane character decides to quit a tough court case. Paula will be called “Your Honor Paula Abdul”, and she’ll inspire confidence in Jane to continue the court case .

“Drop Dead Diva” is set to premier Sunday July 12,2009 at 9pm on Lifetime.
