“Underworld : Rise of The Lycans” star Bill Nighy has been cast to play a role in “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows”. Nighy wouldn’t say which character he’s playing because he wasn’t sure if he was allowed to, but Harry Potter fans think that he may be playing Rufus Scrimgeour the Minister of Magic.
Apparently Nighy had been trying to get a role in Harry Potter for quite sometime and was reported to be a bit upset when he didn’t get a part in “The Half-Blood Prince”.
He even joked that the director David Yates never calls,and that he’s lousy. Then finally after much persistence, he finally got the call that he’s gotten the gig in the huge franchise’s 7th installment. Oh, and he also played in the “Pirates Of The Caribbean” movies as Davy Jones.
‘Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince” hits theaters Wednesday July 15,2009.
