“So You Think You Can Dance” July 2, 2009 elimination show started of with a performance from the contestants to a song entitled “Brand New Day” by The Whiz.
Then Kat Deeley introduced the judges,and they got right down to business and reviewed the first two couple’s performances from last night. Karla Garcia & Vitolio Jeune were revealed to be in the bottom three leading into the first break. After they returned from the break, they reviewed the next set of couple’s performances.
Then Kayla Radomski & Kupono Aweau were the next to be revealed to be in the bottom three. Mia the choreographer was shocked and said that “they must stay.” They are an important part of the show.” Then, they went into the second break.
When they got back from the second break, they quickly reviewed the next set of couples performances. Phillip Chbeeb & Jeanine Mason were then revealed to be in the bottom three for the first time in the competition. Then they had some special Ballet performers perform a routine before heading into the third break.
When they came out of the third break, 4 of the contestants voted in the bottom, began their solo performances for their lives to lead into the 4th break. When the came out of the 4th break, the last two contestants performed their solo performances. And let me just say, that Phillip’s solo performance was awesome.
Next, former American Idol and Grammy winner, Kelly Clarkson performed her song “I Do Not Hook Up” from her latest album entitled “All I Ever Wanted” leading into the fifth and final break of the night.
When they got back from the last break, Nigel stated that they were unanimous in their decision for the girls,and revealed that Karla Garcia would be going home. Nigel said that she hadn’t quite captured the star quality that they thought she would at the start of the competition.
Next, Nigel stated that they were also unanimous in the guy’s decision tonight,and revealed that Vitolio Jeune would be going home. Nigel said he presents a good stage presence, but doesn’t ever deliver anything other than that at the end of the day. So Karla Garcia & Vitolio Jeune went home this week,and now we are left with just 12. Who do you think will be next to go ?
