After months of debating between Justin Timberlake,Bradely Cooper,and Ryan Reynolds, Warner Bros. finally decided to go with Ryan Reynolds to play the “Green Lantern.”
I had suspected this was going to happen when I ran the story the other day because it seemed to me that Ryan would be the best fit for the role. The film is going to be directed by Martin Campbell. Donald De Line and Greg Bertlanti are going to produce it.
Ryan and his people started negotiations for the “Green Lantern” on Friday July 10,2009. One of the reasons why the casting took so long is because Donald De Line,Martin Campbell,and Warner Bros. each had a different favorites among the final three actors,and it made it difficult for them to choose.
Ryan Reynolds also recently played “Deadpool” in the “X-Men Origins : Wolverine” movie.He is also involved in a spin off of that movie.

Hal Jordan is a white test pilot back in the 50’s to 60’s era. Then there was John Stewart, black: not sure what he did for a living. Then there is Kyle Rayner, a young white free lance artist in New York. Learn your GL’s before you go blasting out at Hollywood.
John Stewart was an Architect and veteran U.S. Marine. There was also the first Green Lantern, Allen Scott, who started out as a train engineer. Hal Jordan was just the more famous/popular. They’re using John stewart in the Justice Leage movie comming out in 2011

if we are going to pick it apart the first green lantern was purple . just make it a GL corp movie then there can be no real arguments. and we wont have to ask “GL what have you done for the black skins?”
hopefully the color yellow won’t be his weakness in the movie version
