Amanda Rodrigues,the wife of legendary boxer Arturo Gatti has been taken into police custody on suspicion for the death of her husband. Arturo was reportedly found dead on Saturday July 11,2009 in a seaside resort in Porto de Galinhas,Brazil.

Him,his wife Amanda,and 10 month old were on their honeymoon in Brazil when Arturo’s death occurred. He was reportedly found strangled to death with the strap of a purse which was found with blood stains at the scene.

My source said that a friend of Arturo Gatti and Amanda said that they were having problems and were possibly going to separate. Acelino “Popo” Freitas who was the friend said he was close to them,and stated, “I knew they were having some sort of problem and were about to separate.”

Further police investigation is reportedly needed to find out just what took place. We will report further, as more news becomes available.
