CW has released a new TV promo (below) for it’s new vampire drama “Vampire Diaries” which is coming out this fall 2009. The new promo shows Stefan (Paul Wesley) meeting Elena (Nina Dobrev) for the first time,and sharing general commonalities.

Stefan reveals that he is not able to resist her. Then it shows a critical scene where Stefan notices that she hurts herself. She lifts up her pant leg to reveal a huge cut on her leg. That apparently wasn’t good for Stefan in this clip, as he has to fight off his natural vampire instincts by turning his head away very quickly.

“Vampire Diaries” premiers this fall on Thursdays at 7pm central time on the CW.
