NBC Pulls The Plug On ‘The Listener’ Show

According to my sources, NBC has decided to cancel “The Listener” TV show, and it’s last five episodes from it’s schedule. They will be replacing it with “Law & Order” repeats starting on July 30,2009. However, if you’re a devoted fan,and would like to watch those last five episodes, NBC will be reportedly airing them on their website in August of 2009.

The reported reason for the cancellation is due to low ratings. They say their latest new episode only drew in a 2.6 rating when it went up against a repeat of CBS’ “The Mentalist.” “The Listener” was about a telepathic paramedic.

It’s also reported that NBC has ordered 13 episodes for a new drama entitled “Persons Unknown” which will star Jason Wiles and Daisy Betts. It’s about a group of strangers who must work together to get away from a ghost town that they woke up in, which is under constant surveillance by security cameras.

I am disappointed that they canceled the show. My daughter and I really did enjoy the show. I don’t think it really wasn’t given a good chance due to the fact it was aired in the summer and there isn’t the audience in summer that there in the fall. I wish it would come back
