Reuters reports that Ashton Kutcher said that former “O.C.” actress Mischa Barton is doing great,and is heading to New York to join the rest of the cast of her new CW show “The Beautiful Life.”

Ashton stated, “I can tell you right now Mischa Barton is doing great.” This good news for Mischa Barton comes a little over a week after she was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles California,and was place under an involuntary psychiatric hold.

The production of “The Beautiful Life” was reportedly halted due to set construction issues,and is set to begin shooting on July 31,2009.

“The Beautiful Life ” is set to premiere on Wednesday September 16,2009 at 8pm central time on the CW
