Kristin Dos Santos at E! online got some major CW “Supernatural” scoops and spoilers at Comic-Con from the producers Eric Kripke, Ben Edlund and Sera Gamble . Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki were unable to attend because they are busy shooting the show’s upcoming 5th season in Vancouver.

They first revealed that God will be a character on the Supernatural’s 5th season. The wouldn’t reveal how or where. They said he will not show up anywhere in the beginning of the season.

They did say that they felt they couldn’t bring on the devil without bringing on God also.Next, they talked about there possibly being a 6th season. They originally only wrote the show to go for five seasons because they didn’t think it would last this long. The CW people definitely want it to continue.

They say right now, they are just focusing on making season 5 good,and then they’ll see what they can come up with for a season 6. They also said season five will end what they say, is the first volume,and if there is a season 6,it will be a whole other volume.

Castiel is totally screwed in season 5 for being defiant. In episode 1 of season 5, he’s dead and exploded into smithereens. He’s cut off from Heaven,and on the run with Sam and Dean.And they are all trying to stop the apocalypse.

Dean will be put way into the future,and we’ll get to see a slightly more developed part of the apocalypse. Sam will have addiction issues with the Demon blood problems. They’ve decided to make the Devil as nice as possible.

There is going to be a lot of tension and fallout between Sam and Dean for what happened at the end of last season.

They said Meg will be returning to cause more trouble,and that she is irascible. Dean is going to take on a different type of leadership role that we’ve never seen from him in the past. Also the first half of the season will deal with Dean being able to look Sam in the eye after what he’s done.

Sam,Dean,and Castiel are going to be dealing with more psychological torture in season 5. They say that the apocalypse is going to be scary,gorey,and freaky. But also it will be funnier the last season. They’re going to add more humor to it.

Lucifer will be walking the Earth causing trouble pretty frequently. We’ll get to see him quite often this year. They are also bringing back Sam’s girlfriend Jessica in one of the episodes,and they are also bringing back all the previous hunters they can. Hunters Ellen,Jo,and Rufus will return for an episode as well.

The 5th season of “Supernatural” premiere’s Thursday September 10,2009 at 8pm central time on the CW.
