New Moon’s Peter Facinelli Said He Will Embrace The New Victoria
MTV news recently talked with Peter Facinelli who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the “New Moon” and “Twilight” movies at a recent “Twi Con” event. He made a few comments about Rachelle Lefevre getting fired as Victoria for the “Eclipse” installment.
He said he was saddened to hear that the dates between her and Summit Entertainment didn’t workout, and that he loved Rachelle like a sister. However, he said the show must go on,and that he will embrace Bryce Dallas Howard who will be taking over the Role of Victoria in “Eclipse.”
He also hopes that all the “Twilight” fans embrace her as well.

Gezz, relax Ginny! it’s not Bryce’s fault that Rachelle and Summit had scheduling conflicts. She’s just doing her job. I think Eclipse will be awesome no matter who plays Victoria.
I would have to say “NO!!” I fully understand that it is not Bryce’s fault that supposedly there were scheduling conflicts, of which I do not fully believe.. I doubt Rachelle would just schedule something as small as an indie flick to miss out on what would probably the most pivotal role in her career! Although Rachelle has not had a ton of face time playing Victoria, she made a big enough impression to prove that she is and always will Victoria…They should have worked with her as this part is very important, ESPECIALLY where Eclipse is concerned! That is just so SILLY!!!
I actually didn’t think Rachelle was the best choice for Victoria. She wasn’t horrible, but something about her wasn’t right to me. I’m excited to see what Bryce brings to the table.
Bryce Dallas Howard is a great actress and is the only one that I think can pull off the Victoria role besides Rachelle Lefevre. I’ll miss the other one but as long as Summit doesn’t replace the main characters then I don’t see what everyone’s problem is. Besides Victoria dies in Eclipse anyway. Bryce will do a great job and I’m not going to not go see Eclipse because of the change. As Peter Facinelli said “the show must go on.”
Will everyone calm down? Everyone is taking this like its the end of the world or they’re replacing Robert or something. I love Rachelle Lafevre as victoria also, but we have to give the new victoria a chance! It’s nobodys fault that victoria will not be in eclipse. What if u guys were In the new Victoria’s place? How would u guys feel? I would feel like nobody really wanted me there. Summit and everyone organizing eclipse knows what they’re doing, just sit back and watch and enjoy the movie when it comes out. You guys are acting like they’re canceling the whole movie!

Like peter said the show must go on. Am sure everyone is going to miss her but its not Bryce’s fault she is just doing her job. Even tho Rachelle isnt going to b in Eclipse am sure the movie is going to come out ok. COME ON everyone they are not replacing Robert Pattinson Or Kristen Stewart or tay.
I think this is ridiculous on the part of Summit and/or Rachelle, it’s a hesaid/shesaid. All I know whether she was great or not she is VICTORIA, there is nothing I hate more than watching a sequel where they change the charaters, and Victoria is a very MAIN character in Eclipse. This whole thing has soured me on the Saga being brought to film, if it was Kristen or Robert exceptions would be made.
I’ll embrace the new Victoria, I really did like Rachelle as Victoria, but I think Bryce will do an excellent job. I also think that although Victoria is a bigger role in Eclipse, c’mon, in the book, you ONLY see her in the fight scene at the end. I’m sure in the movie she’ll have a slightly larger role than that, but I don’t think we’ll notice as much of a change as all that.
Not a fan of Bryce acting anyway so for her to take over is just wrong in my eyes.
Ok peter the show much go on you say, fine but I will be only watching eclipse to see edward rip her head off.
And just a thought when cam had another movie he had to film summit let him film all his scenes right away. Some of you guys said they aint replacing rob or taylor, well I remember a time when replacing taylor for new moon was an op so you must forgive the hard core rachelle fans for defending her.
