According Access Hollywood, the brutally honest British “American Idol” judge, Simon Cowell said he was feeling her absence on his first day at the “American Idol” judges table.
He stated, “I’m going to miss her. She’s my buddy” before heading into “American Idol” season 9 auditions in Denver,Co. He said that he has spoken to Paula everyday since she announced the news, that she wasn’t returning to the show.
Simon said that Paula is keeping her head high. He said, “Paula has been very cool about the whole thing. And let me tell you, Paula is going to be fine.”
Randy Jackson also felt bad about Paula’s departure from the show. He said, “We all love her. I think I may cry today.It’s weird.”
Kara DioGuardi, the new female judge who has just signed back on for season 9, said she dressed in dark colors to mark Paula’s absence. She stated, “I am so missing Paula. That’s why I’m in black — mourning.I’m very sad. I talked to her last week. She’s sad, but it was her choice.”
