According to reports,after the $18.6 million grossing weekend from “The Time Traveler’s Wife” movie, ABC has ordered a pilot TV show that’s based on it. Marta Kauffman, the co-creator of “Friends” TV show will be writing the script,and will also executive produce the show.

It’s reported that Kauffman has been discussing a TV show version of the movie for years,now. But the movie’s recent box office success has definitely pushed it along.

They hope that the TV show will be able to explore the relationship between the time traveler Henry and his wife,Clare, more indepth than the two hour movie allowed.
