Wired reports that despite Sam Raimi’s rewrite of James Vanderbuilt screenplay for Spiderman 4,Sony was very pleased with it,and hired Vanderbuilt to write the scripts for Spider-Man five and six, thus also confirming that there will be two more Spider-Man films after their 4th installment.

There is no real news yet known for the plot of Spider-Man 4,but according to Zap2it, news surfaced in June that the movie’s villain would be closely tied to Spiderman’s New York City setting.

Also, Tobey Maguire,Kirsten Dunst,and director Sam Raimi have all reportedly signed on to do “Spider-Man” 4. It’s scheduled to start filming in early 2010,and is expected to be released in May of 2011.

Sam Raimi has also recently signed on to direct the popular, video game, based movie, “World of Warcraft” after he’s done directing Spider-Man 4.
