
MTV reports that NBA superstar, LeBron James has a 4th documentary coming out entitled, “More Than A Game,” and that four great rappers, Lil Wayne,Eminem,Drake,and Kanye West are teaming up to perform a song for it called, “Forever.”
Mack Maine who is the president of Young Money said that an early version of the song featuring Wayne,Drake,Nut Da Kidd hit the internet,but now four of the best MC’s are getting ready to debut a new version. Maine stated, “They re-did it, it got mixed over the weekend, now it’s getting mastered.”
LeBron’s new documentary / film is due in theaters October 2,and the soundtrack is coming out September 22 on Interscope Records. “Forever” will appear as part of a collection of tracks. Polow Da Don will be the executive producer of the set which will also include songs by : T.I., Mary J. Blige, and Young Jeezy.
Rich Paul who is part of LeBron’s marketing company said “Forever” was just originally going to be Drake and Kanye West. He stated, “It was done, it was just Drake and Kanye, and then they went back and got two more prolific talents and it just made it even crazier.They blessed Drake crazy.”
The song came together when Gee Roberson who is an executive at Atlantic Records that manages Kanye and helps to oversee the careers of Drake and Lil Wayne visited LeBron during the playoffs in May.
Rich Paul said, “He came over and played this,it was me, LeBron and Maverick Carter, James’ manager.And he played the track, it was hot. It went right with the movie, it was like perfect for a moment that you want to be forever. And when he decided to put Wayne, Drake, Kanye and Eminem on it together, it just makes it better. It’s one of those songs fans will really want to hear forever. It’s that type of feeling.”
