Summit Entertainment has released a 2nd trailer for their new “Astro Boy” animation,sci-fi,adventure movie. It will star : Freddie Highmore, Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell, Nathan Lane, Bill Nighy, Eugene Levy, Matt Lucus, Donald Sutherland .

The 58 year old Astro Boy character is finally brought to life on the big screen. A brilliant scientist named Dr. Tenma (Nicholas Cage) creates a young robot with incredible powers which is powered by positive blue energy.

Astro Boy (Freddie Highmore) has powers such as : super strength, x-ray vision, unbelievable speed, and the ability to fly. He embarks on a journey for acceptance. On his journey, he meets many new characters,and learns the joys and emotions of being human.

He eventually gains the strength to embrace his destiny. Astro Boy finds out that his family is in danger,and returns to Metro City in an effort to save everything he cares about which leads him to learn how to be a true hero.

“Astro Boy” hits theaters October 23,2009.
