Beyonce performed her latest single entitled, “Sweet Dreams” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)” at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. She wore a sparkly leotard and one silver glove. Beyonce initially hit the stage alone to sing “Sweet Dreams”.
Afterwards,the lights dimmed,and she was joined by two background dancers. Next, Beyonce paused,and then she said, “Now wait.I see y’all standing up and I appreciate the love, but I want to see you put your hands together!”
After that, a whole army of single ladies from the front to the back of the stage,came up and joined Beyonce to perform the rest of the song and routine. She had the crowd standing and applauding by the end of her performance,and she concluded by thanking the crowd.
