MTV News talked with Taylor Swift last night,backstage after the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards show was over. She commented on Kanye West interrupting her acceptance speech on stage,after winning the award for “Best Female Video.”

She said she was excited at first,when she saw Kanye,but then it kind of faded after he finished. She said,backstage, “It has been a crazy night, hasn’t it? Well, you know, I was up there and I was standing there and I saw Kanye up on the stage.I was really excited,and I kind of wasn’t excited anymore.”

She also commented on Beyonce letting her finish her speech when she won her award for “Video of the Year.” She said, “You know, they told me to be ready just in case she might want to say something.It was just so wonderful and so incredibly classy of her and just gracious and wonderful to let me say something. She’s just been my hero and one of my idols ever since I was little. She’s a great person.”

However, Kanye apologized on his blog later on that night,saying, “I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom.”
