Muse played for a packed house at New York City’s Walter Kerr Theater the night of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards were going on. MTV was there to cover it. There was a crowd of die-hard fans in the building to witness the British Rock Group’s debut performance on American television.

They played their single entitled, “Uprising,” which is the first single off their 5th studio album entitled, “The Resistance.” They played their new song bathed in red and blue lights.

Then to highlight the performance, the lead singer, Matthew Bellamy ran out the stage door with his guitar,and delighted the crowd that were standing outside on the street. They gave an awesome performance.
