Superstar rock band, “Green Day” won three 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night for “Best Rock Video,” “Best Direction,”,and “Best Cinematography” for their clip for “21 Guns.” They also performed their single, “East Jesus Nowhere” to a bunch of screaming fans.

They also welcomed a bunch of them onto the stage to rock out with them as they performed the tune.

The drummer, Tre Cool played an integral part in bringing the fans onto the stage,and it got full by the time the band finished the song. After the performance, the band was quickly taken backstage and greeted by people declaring that they had nailed the performance. Check them out in the video (below).
