On the 1st elimination show of “Dancing with the Stars,” Kelly Osbourne and her dance partner,Louis van Amstel did an encore performance of their routine from the previous night. Then they previewed all the dancer’s performances. Tonight is the night where they had the double elimination. One on the men’s side,and one on the women’s side.

After Kelly and Louis’ performance, they announced the first two couples who were safe for the next round .

After the first break, Sean Kingston performed one of his hit songs. Then they presented the “Losers Club” segment ,which are the first couples to get voted off first. Then they announced the next three couples that made it through to the next round.

After the 2nd break, they revealed the first couple on the men’s side that got eliminated. Ashley Hamilton and Edyta Sliwinska were the first couple revealed to go home.

After the 3rd break , they showed the premiere of Miley Cyrus’ music video for her new “Party in the USA” song. It was rather good. It’s different from the music I’m used to hearing from her.

After the 4th break, they revealed the two couples who would be safe on the women’s side. Then they showed a funny segment with Former competitor, Adam Corolla and the men of “Dancing with the Stars.” Then the cast of the “Lion King” did a special performance, to lead into the next break.

After the 5th break, they revealed the next set of couples on the women’s side to make it through the first round. Then they did a tribute to the late Patrick Swayze.

After the final break, they revealed the first couple on the women’s side, to be eliminated. Macy Gray and Jonathan Roberts were eliminated.

So Ashley Hamilton and Macy Gray were the first two celebrities to be eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” 9th season.
