Universal Pictures new vampire movie called “Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” hits theaters in about two weeks,so we’ve decided to a loo at the movie trailer (below) for it. It stars : John C. Reilly, Ken Watanabe, Josh Hutcherson, Chris Massoglia, Ray Stevenson, Patrick Fugit, Orlando Jones, Willem Dafoe, and Salma Hayek.

The movie is apparently based on a popular book series by Darren Shan. It focuses on the fantasy-adventures of a teenager who unknowingly breaks a 200 year old truce between two warring factions of vampires.

A kid named Darren who’s a normal 16 year old that lives in a suburban neighborhood gets his life changed forever,when him and his best friend discover a traveling freak show. Eventually,a vampire named Larten Crepsley turns him into a vampire.

Darren then joins the Cirque Du Freak sideshow as well, the “Vampire’s Assistant.” He joins other creatures that consists of a : snakeboy,wolfman,bearded lady,and a gigantic barker. Darren eventually becomes a very valuable asset, as he hones his new mystical powers.

Darren will struggle to stop a war between the vampires and their enemy counterparts,while still trying to hold on to what’s left of his humanity.

“Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” hits theaters on October 23,2009.
