Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley is starring in the new horror,thriller movie, “The Stepfather,” (movie trailer below) which is a Screen Gems film,and it hits theaters this weekend. It also stars : Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Sherry Stringfield, Jon Tenney, Paige Turco, and Amber Heard.

In “The Stepfather,” Penn Badgley is playing the role of Michael Harding who has just returned home from military school. He finds that his mother has found a new boyfriend that she’s happily in love with, by the name of David (Dylan Walsh). Eventually Michael starts to get more and more suspicious,as he gets to know David more.

On the surface, he appears to be really nice. He hangs out with the kids, and is very cordial. However, he starts to get really mean,later on,and Michael finds out that there’s a police “most wanted” sketch that looks just like David.So Michael tries to find out what he’s hiding. From the looks of the movie trailer, David appears to be a stone cold psycho,but you’ll have to go see the movie to confirm,or maybe not. The movie trailer is pretty intense and telling.

“The Stepfather” hits theaters this Friday.
